TYPOGRAPHY

We at tminustwo have had the unique experience of learning typography the old foundry way, through letterpress. We focused on learning the classic grid systems, type faces, and hand lettering. Using the computer to comp out a layout, then hand set and press our designs for projects due. Learning the classical type faces, typography, and grid systems gives us the foundation for layout and experimental typography.

COMMUNICATION

Whether it is a logo, letterhead, website, magazine layout, or book; function and design matters. We use function before form, and everything must have a purpose in the design. This is what make classic design that stands the test of time. We accomplish this by being considerate to your client, to your target market, and creating lasting beautiful designs that communicates the appropriate message.

STAATLICHES BAUHAUS IDEAS

We are not limited to one design philosophy, but do prefer Bauhaus ideas. We utilize the design philosophies of the Bauhaus to create modern and sophisticated designs and layouts. Learning the K.I.S.S. philosophy (keep it simple, stupid) guides design choices and layouts to be considerate of the viewer. Simplicity and organization are key to the success of Bauhaus ideas.

TIME LINES FOR DESIGN, BID ACCEPTANCE, & TERMS

Once our bid is accepted and design interview is conducted we like to give a 2 working day period for you to gather information that will be needed for content. After the design interview you should have a good idea the direction you will need for gathering the content and exactly what will be expected. Once all information is submitted back to Tmiustwo via. e-mail we go to work right away, however some projects can take longer then others due to complexities or design and or size of project. Typically one page layouts are smaller projects and are completed much faster, anything over three pages or multiple pages will require more time (please budget this time frame when considering projects). All projects will have milestones that will require a percentage be paid upon that milestone; this is typically 50% up front 50% at completion (These terms can be negotiated depending on case by case basis).

TIME TABLE AND COMPLETION

Our goal is to meet your timing.. so, it is critical we know any and all special considerations or circumstances up front. This will help us provide you with 100% satisfaction. Milestones ensure we accomplish our deadlines and you are satisfied with the design we have presented. In the unlikely event at a milestone presentation we have not accomplished a direction or a satisfactory design we will schedule a another milestone meeting and re-work the design to meet your expectations (we ask that you keep in mind that design is an art and in some rare occasions it takes a try or two to get things moving in the right direction) However, through proper communication and in-depth design interview we have a better chance to meet and exceed your expectations. Tminustwo and company wants you to be 100% satisfied and will work diligently to ensure this happens.
